Cannes Lions 2023: Leo Burnett Leads the Way for India; Ogilvy Mumbai Crowned ‘Agency of the Year – Strategy’

On the fifth and final day, Leo Burnett added a Silver Lion to its tally while FCB added a Bronze, both in the Sustainable Development Goals category.

As the curtains came down on the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2023, Leo Burnett emerged as the most awarded Indian agency with a Gold (15 points each), 6 Silvers (7 points), 4 Bronzes (3 points) and 29 shortlists.

Thanks to its Grand Prix in Creative Effectiveness, Ogilvy Mumbai took home the ‘Agency of the Year – Strategy’ title.

Leo Burnett added a Silver to its tally on the last day, in the Sustainable Development Goals category. FCB won a Bronze Lion in the same category.

Sustainable Development Lions

  • Silver: ‘The Biochar Project’ for Lay’s by Leo Burnett Mumbai
  • Bronze: ‘Tr for Teacher’ for Navneet by FCB Interface Mumbai / FCB Sao Pau

FCB India was the only other agency to win Gold this year.
