The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has stated that no further requests for extension would be considered
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has further extended the last date for submission of comments and counter-comments up to June 1 and June 15, respectively, for the consultation paper on “Assignment of Spectrum for Space-based Communication Services”.
The dates have been extended keeping in view the request of stakeholders and industry associations for further extension of time for submission of comments, TRAI stated.
TRAI has also said that no further requests for extension would be considered.
TRAI released the consultation paper on April 6, 2023. Initially, the last date for receiving written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper from the stakeholders was fixed as May 4, 2023, and for counter comments, it was May 18, 2023. However, at the request of stakeholders and industry associations, the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments was extended up to May 18 and June 1, respectively. This has been further extended by TRAI after listening to the stakeholders’ demands.
The release further stated that the comments and counter-comments can be sent, preferably in electronic form, to Akhilesh Kumar Trivedi, Advisor (Networks, Spectrum and Licensing), TRAI, on email
