Rewind to 2021: just six months after completing college, BHAVYA NARULA found himself back in his hometown, Jaipur, working in the crypto space amidst a global lockdown. While the world slowed down, his ambitions didn’t. On January 19th, a 15-minute scheduled call with Abhishek from GrowthX turned into an hour-long discussion that clarified his next steps. He decided to pursue the GrowthX 8-week program, a decision that would become a cornerstone of his journey.
Taking Bold Steps
On January 20th, BHAVYA NARULA sent a cold email to Sumit, co-founder of CoinDCX. Armed with a meticulously crafted 16-slide deck, he outlined his aspirations and explained why he wanted to join the CoinDCX team. His initiative and clarity of purpose paid off. On February 14th, a date he describes as a massive coincidence, two major milestones occurred: he signed his offer letter with CoinDCX and began his GrowthX program as part of their third cohort.
This dual commitment—working with CoinDCX and diving deep into the GrowthX program—showcased his determination to learn and contribute simultaneously. Over the next few months, BHAVYA NARULA balanced both roles, gaining insights into product and growth strategies while contributing to India’s burgeoning crypto industry.
Joining GrowthX Full-Time
By May 14th, as his GrowthX program concluded, BHAVYA NARULA transitioned into a volunteer role at GrowthX. As the second person on the team after the founders, he witnessed firsthand the evolution of GrowthX and the impact it was making on India’s startup ecosystem. Although he continued to contribute to CoinDCX, where he saw the company grow from 100 to 300 employees and achieve unicorn status, his heart was firmly with GrowthX.
Before 2021 ended, BHAVYA NARULA made the bold decision to join GrowthX full-time. It was a leap of faith, driven by his belief in the mission and the community he was helping build.
