News18 Odia is planning a special live show from 15th to 22nd July before the festival. The title of the show is Shreekhetra Leela.
Rath Yatra also termed as the Car festival of Lord Jagannath, attracts more than one million devotees to the holy city Puri and connects millions of viewers through television and the internet. In the current restriction and lockdown scenario, it’s very much expected the viewership will upsurge. As the temple and state administration is closely analyzing the development of corona pandemic and exploring the options to make these annual rituals happen, we are keeping ourselves ready for the occasion.
It’s a half an hour special interactive show with in-depth research background related to Rathyatra. Apart from showing special stories, a panel of experts will discuss on that topic live from different outdoor locations of Puri.
The importance of Grand Road, The premier servitor -The king Gajapti, Ancient Math culture, Birthplace of Lord Shree Jaganath, etc. will be covered in different episodes of this show.
