After a highly competitive pitch process that lasted for over six months, Omnicom Media Group has successfully retained HSBC’s global media planning and buying account. Omnicom Media-owned PHD Media had been handling the British Bank’s media planning and buying since 2018.
It was only in October last year that HSBC initiated a review of its media account.
Prior to OMG winning HSBC’s media mandate in 2018, it was WPP’s Mindshare that handled the media planning and buying of the British Bank for a period of 13 years.
