Updating about his next move on LinkedIn, Verma wrote that for the next two months, he will be on a short break wherein he will indulge in angel investing and consulting a few startups on Integrated Growth and Marketing (Brand + Performance + CLM + Product + Category + CX), post which he will dive into Type 2 consumer internet

Prashant Verma has called it a day at Licious wherein he served as Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer for over one-and-a-half years.

During his time at the one-stop fresh meat delivery shop, he managed the P&L ownership across channels and led full-funnel growth, marketing, category management, quick commerce, trade channels, new city expansion and business analytics.

Confirming the same on LinkedIn, he wrote a post wherein he stated that he had left Licious last week and that during his association with the company, he unlearned, relearned and discovered how Type 4 consumer internet businesses operate.

“This stint had been extremely fulfilling- hitting new quarterly revenue records, pioneering events in the category, introducing full-funnel growth marketing concepts in D2C, and then breaking new ground on gross margins and marketing efficiencies as the north star shifted to profitability,” he added.

In the same post, he also mentioned that for the next two months, he will be on a short break wherein he will indulge in angel investing and consulting a few startups on Integrated Growth and Marketing (Brand + Performance + CLM + Product + Category + CX), post which he will dive into Type 2 consumer internet.

Previously, he was associated with Blinkit for a period of over six years across various roles such as SVP and Head- Marketing, Growth and New Initiatives; VP and Head- Marketing and Growth; Head- Growth (Pivot Project) as well as Director and Head – Brand Marketing, User Acquisition and Consumer Insights.

In the past, Verma has also worked with MullenLowe Lintas Group, Leo Burnett, ICICI Bank, Colgate Palmolive and Avaya.
