This year’s esteemed global jury awarded a total of 203 TDC70 certificates to entrants in 41 countries in three disciplines: Communication Design, Lettering, and Type Design. A showcase of all TDC70 Certificate winners can be viewed here.

TDC70 Best of Discipline and Judges’ Choice recipients will be announced on May 14 during The One Club for Creativity’s Creative Week 2024 in New York. That’s also the date for a special TDC70 Exhibition of winning work, from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm at Location05, 450 West 31st St, 7th floor.

All TDC70 winners receive a Certificate of Typographic Excellence and digital seal certifying their work is among the world’s best of the year. Winning work will also be featured in the highly respected TDC Annual, The World’s Best Typography®, and showcased in eight exhibitions that travel to museums, schools and design organizations around the world.

TDC70 winners are also part of The One Club’s prestigious Global Creative Rankings, earning points alongside winners in The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, ONE Asia, and Art Directors Club of Europe competitions to chart the world’s leading independent creatives, ad agencies, production companies, and brands.

Across its three juries, TDC70 had native experts for writing systems spanning Arabic, Cyrillic, Indic, CJK, Thai, and select African scripts. The addition of these and other judges in recent years is a reflection of TDC’s commitment to have a greater number of the most appropriate experts judging designs for which they have a deep knowledge.

This year’s TDC70 competition committee was co-chaired by Eric Q. Liu, typographer, editor, podcaster and writer with The Type in Tokyo, and Trisha Tan, VP Experience Design Lead, Chase Travel, JP Morgan Chase, New York.

Branding for this year’s competition was created by Wolff Olins, with fonts generously donated by Neubau, based in Berlin.
