Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) continues to make strides, not just in academics and research, but also in sports. In an inspiring display of dedication, teamwork, and athletic excellence, the aquatics team of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi created history at the 38th Inter-IIT Aquatics Meet, hosted by IIT Indore. For the first time, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi took home both the swimming and water polo trophies, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s sports achievements.

The victory at the Inter-IIT Aquatics Meet is a proud moment for Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, showcasing the spirit of perseverance and hard work among its students. One of the key highlights of the competition was the remarkable performance of Rachit Rambhia, a star swimmer from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He set a new meet record in the 50m Backstroke event and secured two Gold medals in both the 50m Backstroke and 100m Breaststroke events. Additionally, he won a Silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke, further adding to the institution’s celebration. His achievements are a testament to the unwavering support and training provided at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

In water polo, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi triumphed against the reigning champions, IIT Madras, in a fiercely contested semifinal match, and went on to defeat IIT Bombay in the final. Rachit Rambhia once again shone as the top goal scorer, proving his versatility and commitment to excellence, both in swimming and team sports.
