MAHIYA MILE DE is superbly shot on mesmerising locations of Kashmir by director Saki Shah, the song is about a couple breaking up and how they come back together again. International feature films Mantostaan and Lihaaf fame international filmmaker Rahat Kazmi are featured alongside Sara Khan in the video. On questioning Rahat that how did he plan to appear in a music video, he laughs ” well I never thought I would do a music video, but when Sara told me that she thinks I will be a good fit for the concept and also because it is set in Kashmir so I just said yes to it quickly. Apart from that director Saki Shah has been an assistant director with Rahat Kazmi in his previous films so that was another reason to accept the song.
MAHIYA MILA DE is a soulful song for young audiences, picturised in a very international style, composed by Shubdeep Singh who has already made his name in Punjab.
